RUSSELL RUN AT WORK AND PLAY

Welcome to Russell Run's web site. My name is Marie Trial and I have had Australian Cattle Dog's since 1991. I first got interested in the breed when I lived in Virginia and had a beef cattle farm. I have since sold the farm and retired in Florida.

I have been a member of the Australian Cattle Dog Club Of America since 1992 and abide by the ACDCA Breeder Code Of Ethics. I am an honorary member of the Bull Run Australian Cattle Dog Club and also belong to the Mid Florida ACD Fanciers.

Enough about me, let me introduce you to the dogs at Russell Run Kennel:

Bonnie was my first Cattle dog and what a dog she was!!!! Her get, 16 puppies in all, some titled in Conformation, Obedience and Agility.

Louie is the son of Bonnie and BISS CH Bryn Mawr's Wild Blue Yonder. Louie has produced many Champions, Obedience Titled and Agility Titled dogs.

All the dogs listed above do not live here with me, some are living at co-owner's homes. The dogs that live here with me, live in the house and I also have outside kennel runs along with large paddocks that they can run and play in. I believe in raising cattle dogs in the house for closer bonding.

I breed on a limited basis, but when breeding a litter of puppies, I look at three things in the parents ( Not necessarily in this order):

1. Conformation
2. Working Ability (either in Herding, Agility or Obedience)
3. Genetically Tested and Sound

All puppies are whelped in the house and stay in the house with me until they go to their new homes. I believe in genetically screening all my dogs, and do so on a regular basis.
