I am a female named Gus. I was the most faithful friend of my truck driving owner. We saw the entire United States, and much of Canada. I got to play on the plains, the mountains, the desert, and the snow. After near 15 years, I went to doggie heaven in 2007. I sure miss the wonderful times we had together.

Here is our girl "Pepper". She is a rescue dog found on a busy street with a broken leg. We adopted her to her forever home. She is 6 months old and 28 pounds. Pepper is loving, smart, feisty (even with the broken leg) and very happy. She is ACD/Blue Merle Heeler. She looks like a little fox. She is a great dog!

Annie & Sophie

Hi! We’re Annie and Sophie. I’m a 6-yr-old Red Heeler mix, and my adopted sister Sophie is a 5-yr-old Blue Heeler/Beagle mix. We’re very affectionate, expressive and athletic. We’re obedience school graduates, and we love going for long walks. We’ll chase a ball from dawn to dusk if you keep throwing it. We enjoy riding around town and going to grandma’s house. We love lounging in our plastic pool on a hot summer day, and we love to romp around in the deep snow after a northern Wisconsin blizzard. We also love tummy rubs when mom invites us on to her lap, and occasionally, dad spoils us a little with seasoned grilled chicken scraps.

Ceili Shima

Ceili Shima (Gaelic for “celebrated treasure” and pronounced Kaylee Sheema) selected me as her guardian the spring of 2006. She is a beautiful loving and incredibly protective, red heeler mix. Ceili was a year old when she found her way to me when a local animal shelter was hosting “adoption day” and through destiny I happened to be in the right place at the right time. Ceili was in rough shape. Frightened, malnourished and smelling of skunk, she looked up at me with those big brown eyes and wouldn’t leave my side. She has been a great addition to our family of horses and other dog, Aussie Shepherd, Scout. Ceili’s arch enemy is the neighborhood fox that cruises through our pastures everyday. Ceili’s favorite activities are to run and jump with Scout, get treats, perform perimeter patrol and to lie upside down in my lap and get belly rubs. She is thrilled to have found her forever home with me and my husband on our 17 acre ranch in NW New Mexico.

This is our ACD/Beagle mix Missy. She adopted us about 6 months ago and no matter how much we tried to convince her that she should want a new name, she only answered to Missy. Imagine that, she has a stubborn streak.
