 I'm the newbie (on the left), Chase, so named because I chase squirrels, cats and street sweepers. I'm only about 8 months old as of 10/05. My new mom adopted me last week from the pound two years after my new best friend, Forbes (on the right) walked into her house at the age of 8 weeks. He and his sisters had been dumped in her neighborhood but he escaped the dog catcher and found her. The sisters all eventually found homes, too. Last year Forbes won 3rd place in a kissing contest in L.A. and was on Animal Planet (all thanks to "Nutts for Mutts" sponsored by the charity "New Leash on Life"). I was given up by my last parents because they thought I was too vocal. When I'm not bored I'm actually quite quiet. Forbes and I play all day while Mom is at work and we try our best to stay out of the vegetable garden and to leave the cats alone. But, HEY, we're city cattle dogs ... HELLO? We play tug-of-war with the toys in our toy basket and get cool walks every day. We also love the local dog park where we get to socialize with other dogs and dog lovers. And two or three times a year I hear we get to go to Tahoe and play fetch in the lake or go show-shoeing. Sure, we would rather be on a ranch but I'm sure looking forward to that.
