Chiquita is a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog/Chow mix (notice her blue/black tongue). She was born to a Chow mother at a rental car lot in January, 2000, and the litter was rescued by two of the employees. The wife of her first owner, a Puerto Rican woman, felt that she "just looked like a little lost Chiquita," thus, the name. My husband, Dennis, and I adopted Chiquita when her original people moved to Ireland, and she's been a true joy for us. She loves running on the beach, playing with her dog pals at the park, and chasing rabbits on a trail near our home in Altadena, CA. She's a lovable, loyal girl, but also a very independent thinker. In obedience training, they informed me that Chiquita has me trained "almost perfectly!"
