HOBBES

Hobbes (as in Calvin
and…) was adopted from the pound after being abandoned with
no records. His age at adoption was estimated at 1-2 years so
that would now make him 5-6 years old. The pound thought he was
part Dalmatian, part handsome stranger, but more and more I'm
thinking he's ACD. Except for the ears…? He also has a
ruff on his neck - is that common with ACD's? His tail is
long and plumy and he has a lot of fur along his back legs.
He's definitely got a herding instinct as his playmates will
attest to. They get annoyed at times when he goes for the back
legs. I've also seen him position his head right against
their shoulder and guide them where he wants them to go. He's
definitely a little tank and I'm eager to learn more about
this breed. He's very laidback, concerves his energy until
it's needed and then he's a powerhouse. He loves to
backpack and will pack in his own food and water. He's not
afraid of anything including moving cars so I have to always have
him on a leash. What a sweetheart and a great companion.
